The bill (Reg. No.7084), submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers, introduces
international standards regarding employment of preliminary measures
alternative to placement in detention. It sets clear-cut criteria and grounds
for placement in detention to narrow the cases, when the suspects, the accused
or the defendants can be placed in detention.
The People´s Deputies believe that adoption of the bill will bear positive influence on the foundation for placement in detention, and narrow the cases when the suspects, the accused or the defendants can be placed in detention.
